ONLY 07 DAYS QUARANTINE REQUIRED FOR PEOPLE PERMITTED TO ENTER VIETNAM WHO HAVE BEEN FULLY VACCINATED AGAINST COVID

The Ministry of Health of Vietnam on August 04, 2021 provided some guidelines for quarantine of people permitted to enter Vietnam who have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19 or have recovered from Covid-19:

An inbound passenger will undergo centralized quarantine for 07 days and health monitoring in the next 07 days  if he/she fully satisfies the following conditions:

AT THE ENTRY PROCEDURES

1. He/she tests negative for SARS-CoV-2 (by RT-PCR/RT-LAMP test) within 72 hours before departure and receives a certificate issued by the competent authority of the country in which the test is done.
2. He/she has received the required Covid-19 vaccine doses and has a vaccination certificate.
3. He/she used to be infected with SARS-CoV-2 and a certificate that he/she has recovered from Covid-19 or an equivalent document issued by the competent authority of the country where he/she is treated.

OTHER REQUIRED PROCEDURES

1. He/she is tested for SARS-CoV-2 on the first and seventh day from the date of entry.
2. People who have been in centralized quarantine for 7 days shall be monitored at home after completion of centralized quarantine.
3. During the transport from the centralized quarantine facility to their homes, the people who have completed centralized quarantine shall maintain implementation of the 5K rules, especially wearing masks and maintaining distance; always opening and using Blue zone application.
4. During home monitoring, the people who have completed centralized quarantine keep using Blue zone application until the end of the 14th day from the date of entry; maintain implementation of the 5K rules, avoid meetings with other people and crowded places.
