ENTRY PROCEDURES
Enterprises that invite foreigners to work in Vietnam, including diplomats, investors, business executives, experts, and highly skilled employees must conduct three procedures:
- Quarantine options: Enterprises must first send documents inviting experts to Vietnam to the local competent agencies detailing their suggested quarantine options based on the city’s appraised list of paid quarantine hotels.
- Application on grant entry into Vietnam: the department will join hands with the Health Department and relevant agencies to submit the list to the city government for approval.
- Application on visa / entry approval letter: based on the approval letter to grant entry into Vietnam, the municipal government will then work with the Vietnam Immigration Department on processing immigration procedures.
PRACTICE NOTES
Things shall be kept in mind:
- Vietnam accepts types of Vaccines licensed by WHO, US CDC, and European Medicines Agency. The last dose is vaccinated at least 14 days before and no later than 12 months from the expected date of entry into Vietnam.
- Certificates of Full Vaccination; or Certificates of Recovery from COVID-19; “Vaccine Passport” should be issued in paper or electronic version by the application of authentication code (QR code or other form of E-Authentication) which have been officially introduced to Vietnam.
- Test Certificate with Negative result is valid within 72 hours before the departure and certified by a competent authority of your country.
- Install and use Bluezone – a mobile application at least throughout 14 days from the entry date
What if we have “Vaccine Passport”?
Centrialized quarantine for 07 days and medically supervised for the next 07 days at the resident place
Before applying for Entry approval letter, you can check the eligibility of your “vaccine passport” by the following steps:
- Step 1: Access the link https://lanhsuvietnam.gov.vn
- Step 2: At the Home Page, click to choose “Giới thiệu” (or “Introduction” in English) => “Hệ thống văn bản pháp quy” (or “Legal & Regulatory Document System”) => “Văn bản pháp luật Việt Nam” (or “Vietnam Legal Documents”).
- Step 3: Choose “MẪU GIẤY CHỨNG NHẬN TIÊM CHỦNG, GIẤY XÁC NHẬN KHỎI BỆNH COVID-19 CỦA NƯỚC NGOÀI” (or “Sample of Foreign Certificate of Vaccination, Certificate of Recovery from COVID-19”)
Hotel
- Apart from the State’s quarantine areas, Foreign experts also can book approved hotels for isolation period.
- Many Vietnam hotels were registered to the State as a paid-isolation accommodation. Some mobile applications can support you to choose the qualified hotel.
Commercial Flight
The commercial flights to Vietnam have been limited and only open if allowed
As per proposal from CAAV, regular international flights can be gradually resumed by the Quarter 4th of 2021:
